The welfare needs of cats

The RSPCA would like to thank Dr Nicola Rooney and Miss Jenna Kiddie for their involvement in producing information on the welfare needs of cats.
 

Dr Nicola Rooney (BSc PGCE PhD) is a Research Fellow in the Animal Welfare and Behaviour Group at the University of Bristol, where she studies human-animal interactions. In addition, she works as an independent consultant to the RSPCA and has helped produce information on the welfare needs of both dogs and cats, the RSPCA Performing Animals Guidelines and recently co-ordinated and co-authored an independent report entitled: Pedigree dog breeding in the UK: a major welfare concern?

Miss Jenna Kiddie (BSc MSc)
Jenna Kiddie is currently undertaking a PhD, assessing the quality of life of kennelled dogs, at the Royal Veterinary College. Previously she completed a senior clinical training scholarship in feline behaviour and welfare at the University of Bristol.
