Down on the farm

The RSPCA has developed detailed welfare standards for nine of the major farmed species, which are designed to ensure that higher standards of animal welfare are met throughout the animals' lives. The five welfare

This lesson plan encourages children to consider the needs of farm animals by comparing them to their own needs and the needs of other animals. The aim of this lesson is to teach pupils the needs of living things and how to show care and concern for farm animals and the environment around them. This lesson plan will also help students with their communication and language skills and help them to understand the world around them.
