Discovery 6: Animal Rescuers
Every year we receive hundreds of thousands of calls reporting animals in need.
Join our rescue officers and discover how they help rescue, rehabilitate, rehome or release sick and injured animals through our animation and supporting activities.
Activity length
60-90 minutes plus extension options.
Activity objectives
- To understand why the RSPCA rescues animals
- To explain why the RSPCA would rehome or release rescued animals
- To describe the responsibilities of caring for animals to make sure they are healthy, happy and their needs are met
- To identify ways to make open spaces better habitats for wildlife

Your pack contains

Once you've completed at least two discovery activities, choose an advocacy activity which can be found at the end of the teacher notes. Creative outputs from your class can be entered into our competition to be in with the chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
