Animals in our local community

Get to know your local community and the animals within it! Explore how the role of animals in our daily lives has changed with the advent of new technologies. A fun lesson that allows pupils to develop their own opinions and share these in a group activity. 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this lesson:

  • most pupils: recognise and describe some of the main characteristics of their local community, and that it has changed over time

  • some pupils have not made so much progress and: know some of the main features of their local community

  • some pupils have progressed further and: recognise and describe some of the main characteristics of their local community. They can say how it has changed over time.
