Minibeasts - Bees, pollination and honey

Did you know that honey bees live in colonies that can contain up to 50,000 bees. Only the queen of the hive can lay eggs and the worker bees do all the work in the hive while drones fertilise the queen!

This lesson focuses upon bees to give an insight into the complexity of insect life and to explore the beneficial effect of bees on humans and the environment, along with the opportunity to observe and explore their amazing lives.
